Kitty business class, please

From ABCNews.com:

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A house cat found in France about a month after wandering from her home in Wisconsin is set to fly business class home from Paris to Newark, New Jersey, Continental Airlines said on Wednesday.

First, I am thrilled that Continental Airlines is helping get Emily the cat back home.  I am even more enthralled with the fact that they are not stowing the animal in the cargo hold for the trip across the pond.  She even gets a human escort (most likely an airline employee).  As much as I hate Continental for losing my luggage every single time I have flown with them, this certainly scores them some much needed brownie points in my book.

Second, it is simply amazing that the cat survived an ocean trip, was treated with kindness once overseas, and has found such welcoming and warm advocates to assist in getting her home to those who no doubt miss her very much and are worried for her safety.

Finally, this is one well-traveled cat.  America to Belgium to France and back to America all in the span of months.  I certainly am jealous.

Time enough for all

My apologies for being a bit ungenerous with the blogging over the last few days.  I started the week rather sick and finished it quite busy with work and trying to get my new laptop setup.  Doing so has been a priority since I purchased it to make my writing more convenient.  While I have completed a significant amount of that setup in recent days, there is still more ahead than behind.

I am definitely not ignoring you, poppets.  There is ample time for everyone and everything in my life.  That being said, I will also admit that time slicing does not always mean adequate depth.  Thus is life.

What does your birth date mean?

Although I already posted a quiz for the week, I intended to do so on Friday.  I apparently lost my mind (again or still, you decide) when I posted it earlier in the week.  To get myself on schedule, I’m posting this one today — but I don’t feel bad since it is not really a quiz.

My birthday is fast approaching and this seemed terribly appropriate.  I have, however, removed the specific date.  Yes, I am weird that way.

For those of you who know me well enough, do you think this is accurate?
