The tale of a sunspot and two storms

From SpaceWeather.com:

SUNSPOT BREAKUP: Big sunspot 898 is breaking apart, sending shock waves through the sun’s atmosphere and radio bursts toward Earth. You can listen to some of the radio sounds at http://spaceweather.com . The breakup does not herald a major solar storm, but it does offer an opportunity to watch a sunspot in its death throes–very entertaining.

STORMS ON JUPITER: The long-awaited glancing collision between Jupiter’s Great Red Spot and Red Jr. is underway. So far the two massive storms are holding their own, resisting disruption. Closest approach is still a week away, however, and astronomers will be monitoring the situation closely. See the latest images at http://spaceweather.com.
