This stands on its own: “I am still at a loss to try and figure out how Clinton was ‘impeached’ for lying about a stupid flirtation and this President is still in office after having lied to us about the ‘need for war’ in Iraq. Apparently, a stained dress has more significance in this country than tens of thousands of slaughtered, innocent people. […] There HAS to be consequence for these kinds of insane, irresponsible and morally bankrupt actions.”

Grand Rounds Vol 2, No. 46 is available with the best from the medical blogosphere.  This is a fantastic edition that covers a lot of territory.

Virginia is for Haters points out the sudden gay exodus from that state given its prolific and growing anti-gay policies.  Not only are gays refusing to move to or visit the state, but now they’re fleeing in larger and larger numbers, and they’re taking their disposable income, jobs, businesses, and skills with them, not to mention their self-respect.  At this point, I’d suggest avoiding Virginia at all costs, not supporting business based there, not traveling through or to the state at all, and generally boycotting anything having to do with this backwards little Deliverance in the making.

I’m sure you’ve heard, but then again maybe you haven’t…  Anyway, bedbugs are making an explosive comeback in America.  “Absent from the United States for so long that some thought they were a myth, bedbugs are back. Entomologists and pest control professionals are reporting a dramatic increase in infestations throughout the country, and no one knows exactly why. […] In the past four years, reports of bedbugs have significantly increased in U.S. cities, from New York to Honolulu, especially in hotels, hospitals and college dormitories — all places with high resident turnover.”  But, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep an eye out in your own home.  They’re spreading rapidly and once you have them, you’ll find it rather difficult to get rid of them.
