Vocabularium

Here’s part two of this bifurcated entry.  In my opinion, it’s best to use ameliorate and just pretend this word doesn’t exist.

meliorate (mel·io·rate): / MEE lee uh rate /
transitive and intransitive verb

(1) to ameliorate, improve, or make better

[From Latin meliorare meaning “to make better, improve,” from Latin melior meaning “better.”]

Usage: Jalapeños meliorate pizza, nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, and a lot of other foods, not all of which are Mexican dishes.
