The polar bear blessing
Posted on Dec 17, 2006 by jason
I’ve received this message from several people and finally decided to post it because. . . well, I desperately need the entertainment and uplifting message at the moment.
By the way, since I received the first copy from her, this is via my sister Roni. I’m including the first image because it completes the sentiment—and that even though it’s a PhotoShopped image, something I am loath to include here.

Wishing you, in your busy life. . .
Time for relaxation. . .

Good sleep. . .

Good health with exercise. . .

Someone to dance with. . .

A bit of adventure. . .

Good looks. . .

But most of all. . .
I wish you lots of bear hugs. . .

And the comforts of real love. . .

They’re not that cute when ripping through the flesh of seal cubs.

Maybe not cute, but they’re still beautiful. Nature is violent and wonderful all at the same time. Watching humanity in action is disturbing; watching the natural world in action is astoundingly captivating.

They eat seals, to hell with them!
It’s ok for them to eat seals but not OK for me to kill one? wait, stop… it’s a rhetorical question.
To HELL with polar bears.

Mithotyn,
I LOVE Seals AND Polar Bears !! Sounds like you are the one in HELL. My commiserations to you. Hope you can overcome your demons.
Nature can seem cruel but not as cruel as what some humans are capable of with their words and acts !!

Also keep in mind they’re going extinct. If their situation doesn’t improve soon (i.e. if humans don’t take definitive action to stem climate change and to protect polar bears), they’ll probably be gone by the middle of the century. Oh, and the seals are dying out as well (one of the reasons polar bear numbers are declining), so maybe that’ll address the concern about bears eating seals . . .

Polar bears eat seals. We eat cows. We buy shoes instead of giving money to a charity that could save a child. No matter what we do, no matter what polar bears do, someone or something is hurt. It’s part of life. I enjoyed the part about the comforts or real love. How true!!

Nature has always given us a wonderful show of life. To bad we don’t take any notice. Yes they eat seals, explain to me how else are they going to live? They live within their environment, we don’t. We complain about it, but we have never learned to live within our environment. Which is leading to these creatures dying out. Think about it. We eat animals, where their skins, and have managed to destroy many birds and animals that will never walk this earth again.
Saying all that, I think these pictures are wonderful and the sayings are perfect. I will now send to all of my friends.

Probably on the south pole, unless some of them migrated. Or a zoo, y’know.
At least not with polar bears.

Who are we to judge nature? They are what they are. We destroy nature; perhaps we need to be judged…..at least judged by ourselves.
We have banished the Polar Bear and Seal to obscurity…..for this brief moment we have a chance to save ourselves…..sanity needs to be applied, but first, as a group, we need to find it.

Oh my gosh, get over it. THEY’RE PICTURES!!! As for the idiot concerning whether they can kill a seal or not……we will worry about the Polar Bears killing seals when they start wearing the carcasses as accessories!
