OMG! That's hysterical. Yes, I was trying out for a job with The Village People. That's so funny! I suppose it doesn't matter that they didn't exist at the time that photo was taken (they came along years later). I guess I was avant-garde even at that age.

I believe the car was a Datsun station wagon, but I could be wrong. It might be a Dodge or Olds. I suspect the Olds came much later than this photo, though, so I'd go with Datsun or Dodge, in that order. Then again, I was awfully young to remember what kind of car it was.

And yes, a sailor boy. I was practicing my drag routine. Starting early helped me realize that scene wasn't for me!

You know, Pam, I wasn't hesitant at all. I thought the idea was fun, and I rather enjoyed looking through all of those pictures and trying to come up with a good presentation for them. In fact, I'll probably post more of them in the future as I have the opportunity to review what I have. And no, that parrot didn't leave my sight except under specific circumstances (e.g. I couldn't take it in the bathtub with me!).

Thanks for the clarification, Mom. I obviously don't remember what I was holding in that picture, so I took a guess based on what I could see. Popeye it is!

Hey droopy drawers On, that's not a lollipop, that's a play pipe and you were Popeye at the time. Thanks for the humorous trip back in time, it's great! (And I did wash the ball before you got it.)

OMG Jason - this is great! I love your approach. We all have hesitation in posting our kid photos - I've had several off-line conversations with people encouraging them to post. It took me several weeks to dare to post my photos.
Don't you just love your Mom for putting your parrot back together just the way it was? I bet you rarely let that parrot out of your sight after that. You and your brothers and sister are really cute kids. But then again, I really can't tell if you're cute or not with the mustache and cowboy hat. ;) Just kidding - you are! Great post!
