(1) of, pertaining to, situated along, dwelling on, or taking place on or near the bank of a river or other body of water

noun

(1) a person who owns property on the bank of a natural waterway or body of water, especially a river (legal)

[From Latin riparius meaning “that frequents riverbanks,” from ripa meaning “riverbank or shore.”]

Usage: I found it a simple thing to become lost of mind and body while traversing the riparian woods.
