With danger comes splendor

As always, a silver lining exists with regards to our ongoing weather menace.  Great beauty can be found in the magnificence of nature’s display, whether it be the lullaby of heavy downpours, the gentle caress of thunder rolling overhead, or the brilliance of storm clouds roiling as they tumble through the heavens in violent displays of what our atmosphere can do.  This odd season has provided stunning wonders to behold.  If only people would stop and appreciate it. . .

So let me share with you one tiny bit of that: the breathtaking marvel of dark clouds heralding yet another inbound deluge, forward guards churning through the air with efficient yet dangerous magic that I found more than captivating.

Oh, and behind this tumultuous vision came pounding rain that dumped more than most could measure.  Even Jenny mentioned today how often she’s had to empty her rain gauge, and how meaningless it has been to try to keep up with it.
