Hi, Thomas! Thanks for stopping by. I don't remember seeing anything from you on TEXBIRDS lately, so I'm glad to see you're out and about.

Yes, I meant 200, not 100, and all from North Texas (WRL, LLELA, VCDB, etc.). Unfortunately, I don't have the data anymore due to a drive failure in my laptop, though I was able to spot-check my photo backup and identified 166 species. That means I was also counting species I had seen but hadn't photographed (or had photographed unrecognizably, something I'm quite good at!).

And no problem with regards to commenting on an old post. Strangely enough, you're not the first TEXBIRDS member to spend the last week or so revisiting the past. It's starting to feel quite normal to me now.

Hey Jason, did you mean 100 species of birds in the last two days? Did you go to the coast as well or just hang around white rock lake? Sorry to comment on an old post, I was just randomly turning through your blog and saw that comment. If you did mean 200, could you send me your list?! Sounds like a fantastic weekend either way.

Thanks, Jain! I have some better photos coming that I hope you'll enjoy as well.

I'm sure people will have varying experiences with swine flu, but all I can say is that I've never before been that sick for that long (excluding spine surgery and the like, of course). Here's hoping I'll pass unscathed through the remainder of the flu season...

So sorry you were down with the flu, but glad you survived!

I never would have guessed the Indigo Bunting, nice find. Juncos are always photogenic, I think. Great detail on the Kinglet.
