  1. it’s probably the most striking bird that visits my house. I always stop and admire them. That is a perfect picture!

    • I love these birds, too, Mary. They’re quite raucous, plus they’re skilled mimics–so they have marvelous vocabularies. Great fun to watch them. And thank you! I’m glad you like the photo.

  2. Hi Jason, I just saw a gorgeous Brown Thrasher on by backyard fence last weekend. They ARE striking birds. I LOVE your photo!

    • Thank you, Amber! It’s definitely a good time to see them. With northern populations moving south for winter and vegetation becoming bare, these birds are suddenly quite visible.
