Winter is finally coming to visit us. No more of this playing around with highs in the 40s and 50s and calling it cold. Hell, at least momentarily this means no more of the 80-degree weather like Saturday (before the temperature fell 40 degrees today).
If it holds together, the middle of the week could mean some major changes for us. Our high will be around 35 and will be the previous day’s low. As the temperature drops all day and a cold wind blows from the north, we may see a bit of snow or freezing rain or some mix of wintry precipitation. It’s been far too dry here to provide much to work with. Still, it doesn’t take much when we’re talking about freezing rain. Only time will tell.
While I will be the first to admit that I would love to see some kind of winter weather, I’ll just be happy for the cold temperatures and touch of the arctic. Luckily, winter is only just beginning.
