I know it sounds like a Fox television special, but it’s not.  PZ has a great little video and link to the story of a giant octopus attacking an underwater ROV.  The video is quite fascinating, and the ROV operator finally has to use the thrusters to blow debris at the octopus until it gives up the battle and retreats.
