An immigration note to Jews and Christians

I already mentioned how I feel about the current immigration uproar in America.  Because I spent so much of my life (more than half of it given my present age) studying religions of all sorts, I thought it prudent of me to mention to my Jewish and Christian friends precisely what they should think about it.  No, I don’t believe in your unreasonable religious views, but I sure as hell expect you to believe in and practice them with undeniable equality.

If you subscribe to the fundamentalist view that homosexuality is wrong, you must also be on the side of amnesty and citizenship for all illegal aliens currently in America, not to mention those who might enter the country at a later date.  Why?  The very same religious text you use to justify your bigotry against homosexuals also tells you precisely how you should respond to the immigration issue.

The bible (Leviticus 18:22) and torah (Vayikra 18:22) on homosexuality:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.

The bible (Leviticus 19:33-34) and torah (Vayikra 19:33-34) on foreigners:

And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.

The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Just sayin’.
