While our nation accumulated historic levels of debt to fight the War on Terror™ in ways that have nothing to do with terrorists, our government ignored the terror right here at home. “Americans were robbed and victimized by gun violence at greater rates last year than the year before… The increases buttress reports from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and from mayors and police chiefs that violent crime is beginning to rise after a long decline.”
If you want to eat a grape, make sure it’s not as big as your whole head. Terribly cute photos.

Sad but very true. In the last year, the military has used the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy to get rid of at least 27 linguists who specialized in Middle Eastern languages. The US Army is now running a massive recruiting effort throughout the nation looking for linguists who specialize in Middle Eastern languages (among a few others). I won’t be applying.
Go watch this video of another Keith Olbermann speech, this time regarding 9/11 and the continued emptiness at the New York attack site. He bashes Disney/ABC’s “Path to 9/11” for the bullshit fiction and political pandering it was. He voices his anger over the squandering of our post-9/11 patriotism and the world’s compassion and camaraderie. He covers a lot more. Fantastic, biting, penetrating, and certainly the same sentiments I feel. Really; go watch it now. It’s a must. Wow!
And finally, Ouch! “The American Airlines ticket agent who checked in Mohammed Atta on 9/11 later committed suicide – unlike the man in charge [President Bush] who, being briefed on the potential threat, told his briefer, ‘Okay, you’ve covered your ass.'”
