Friday Ark #116 has started boarding. Keep checking back for links to all sorts of animal photos and stories.
The Geminid meteor shower will be taking place next week. Check out the article for the schedule, when the storm will peak (the best time for viewing), and suggestions on where and how to get the most from the show.
This is why PETA is a horrible organization. For a non-profit claiming to want nothing more than the protection of all animals, they kill thousands each year (and have been for more than 25 years), claim to put them into good homes while dumping their bodies in a store’s trash dumpster, fights against no-kill shelters even though the premise is sound and has been quite successful in major cities (including New York), wants all pit bulls destroyed and the species forever wiped out, calls for the trapping and killing of stray cats, and their own staff now faces more than 60 animal cruelty felony charges. And that’s just the top of the list. As the article points out, PETA is an acronym for People Exterminating Thousands of Animals. Be warned: The article contains pictures of the body dumps, of recently killed puppies being thrown into trash bags, of a dumpster full of PETA’s leftovers, and a litany of stories about the organization accepting animals with the promise of adoptions only to kill them within hours so their bodies could be dumped. No, PETA and I have nothing in common, we share none of the same goals, and I would never and will never support them. In fact, I will do my best to fight them with every penny I can spare and every breath I take. Oh, and the article is 12 pages long and contains grisly and horrifying news reports, photos, and legal charges—all stemming from animal cruelty, not attempting to protect animals.
Hell, in 2005 alone, PETA killed more than 90% of the animals it took in under the guise of adoption services and rescue work. The organization also put to death—and often in cruel ways—almost 15,000 animals between 1998 and 2005. No, PETA is not for animal protection and ethical treatment. Nothing could be further from the truth.
For more details, go here Look at the chart of how they’ve killed more and more animals each year. Check out how they deceive the public by saying the animals will be put up for adoption, yet those same animals are usually dead within an hour. How disgusting.
