It’s about 11:40 Sunday night. I’ve just arrived home.
What a marvelous day. Tiring, yes, but fabulous nonetheless.
I did take photos. In fact, I took quite a few, but I really can’t say how many will be good and how many will be bad. I’ll go through them tomorrow.
Despite my plans, I didn’t get a chance to take a walk and explore the area around the farm. What can I say? Helping with farm work and visiting with family seemed a whole lot more important once I got there. Still, I think I have the photos to introduce you to some of the family pets and farm denizens (non-humans only).
Again, I won’t know what I have until I get a chance tomorrow to peruse the inventory and see what’s presentable.
Another thing: It’s highly likely I’ll be returning to the farm in a few weeks. I have some major computer work to do for Mom that I was unable to complete today (some I knew I couldn’t get done; some I couldn’t get done due to time constraints; some I didn’t identify until I got there). In any case, I may head back out there in a few weeks to get that done as well as to see the family and take some more pictures. I didn’t get all of the animals photographed today and feel I was quite remiss in leaving some out.
Likewise, perhaps I can get a few more shots then of the general area and the splendid variety of natural wonder that surrounds the little farm in the middle of nowhere. We shall see.
And finally, Zooomr is available again, so you can readily expect me to convert the recent Flickr photos over, make available the larger versions for those, and get a litany of new photos posted in the coming days and weeks. And I don’t mean just from the farm. I mean in general. I have some goodies from right here at the lake where I live and the wildlife experience I mentioned from my trip to xocobra and LD’s place yesterday, plus I have some introductions for you to various inhabitants of our East Texas getaway.
But for now…I’m going to bed. Well, after I give The Kids plenty of lovin’ to make up for my long absence today.
