Since I’m visiting the family farm and am far away from the web—and home—I thought it only polite to offer you some kind of recompense for your visit while I’m away, so I’ve scheduled a few things to keep you occupied.
Let me take this opportunity to let you know I have some very nice photographs to share with you in the coming days. Some are from walks at the lake and experiences with the various wild beasties occupying it and the surrounding area. Some are from my visit with xocobra and LD yesterday (yes, wildlife can even be found while visiting friends in the suburbs, and boy is this a cool one to share with you). Some are of The Kids, but you already knew that. And some are of… well, some are of whatever caught my eyes, but mostly that’s stuff from nature’s various commercial-free broadcasts.
As I promised I would, I have taken my camera and all its various pieces and parts with me to the country today. I will do my utmost best to capture some visual memories that I can later share with you. I have been terribly remiss in doing so in the past. But at least I always take my camera with me, although for reasons I can’t explain I never seem to take it out of the bag and use it. This time I’m making a dedicated effort to carry it with me while I’m moving about the farm so I can snap a photo here and a photo there, a collective souvenir of digital bits and bytes that perchance will give me at least one or two things to show you. We’ll see how well I do with that.
And despite having a rather full schedule while I’m at the farm, I will try to get out into the surrounding woodlands for at least a trice to see what kind of marvels await the patient and very lucky amateur photographer. The world in that neck of the woods tends to be quite full of creatures great and small. Hopefully I’ll come back with at least a few images I can heap upon the intarweb as if I knew what I was doing.
I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and finding all manner of trouble to get into lest these two days pass with nothing but boring memories to show for it. I shall be back tomorrow. It’s highly likely I’ll sleep late, yet I’ll be online eventually. See you then.
