I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who has experienced wayward mockingbird chicks.  Unlike me, however, he at least got a photo of one.

What a cool idea!  “Want a treehouse? A New York architect is taking orders for buildings constructed out of—and by—living trees…The idea is to allow plants to grow over a computer-designed plywood structure. Once the plants are interconnected and stable, the plywood is removed and reused.”  See the article for more information.  If it works, it offers a fantastic design in addition to the less intrusive housing we build now.  I’d buy one—once I move out of the city, that is.
