I launch myself upon the highways tomorrow for a trip to the family farm in East Texas.

My camera travels with me, I assure you.

Following a three-hour drive from Dallas to the heart of the home that now beckons to me, I plan to spend the day with family while enjoying some respite from the daily grind—although I must needs cater to Mom’s computer woes during my visit.

Be gentle, poppets, and spread your wings such that they carry you into Saturday’s heaven.

Meanwhile, we’ll be keeping an eye on the latest tropical depression that has developed in the Gulf of Mexico.  If current projections remain accurate, it could bring us some notable weather in the next several days.
