The amazing thing about photography is how quickly a glut of images piles up. This vexes me for I have such a vast collection of things worth sharing, but each new day of taking pictures creates yet one more obstacle between me and the photos that came before.
At present, I still have images going back several years which have yet to see the light of day.
To help remedy that, I’m restarting my All in a day’s walk series. This provides an excellent way to address a single day’s collection when it doesn’t involve some unique encounter that demands a dedicated post.
In addition, I’m introducing a new serial called “Less conventional fare” that will focus on the one-off images I have: pictures that aren’t necessarily professional quality but that show something of note, something not seen frequently that demanded I take a picture even if I had the wrong lens on the camera, had to shoot under less than ideal circumstances, or didn’t have time to use the right settings lest the opportunity vanish forever.
Hopefully this approach will let me catch up and clean up so I’m not always watching this mountain grow and grow and grow.
Ha! Who am I kidding…
