Perfect time to evaluate my exercise program

While I’m recovering from my back injury, I’m not working out.  Take my word for it — trying to do bench presses or squats when your back is thrown out is somewhat difficult.  Instead of just ignoring it for now, I’ve decided to evaluate my workout routine and overall exercise program to determine if it needs to be changed.  I intend to add some type of daily cardio routine to my program and to modify my general strength training routine if I find some places where it could be improved or made more effective (at least in my mind).  I’ll post the new plan this weekend.

ratemykitten.com

With all of the self-centered people posting themselves all over the various “rate me” sites on the Internet, it was nice to stumble across one where the attitudes are acceptable and the subjects are worth a look.  ratemykitten.com is worth the time and effort to check out.  I recommend you start with the "Top 20" and "Best of" sections, then explore from there.

Even more site changes

I decided to get rid of the Guestbook and Newsletter for now.  As you've no doubt guessed, I'm still working through all of the ideas I have for the site, so things come and go as I toy around with new ideas.  Given my tendency to love change, it may always be that way, but I would expect things to calm down in the next few months as I become more comfortable with the overall functionality of the site and how I want to use it.  Until then, though, expect things to come and go as I play with what works and what doesn't.

Welcome message archive – May 13, 2003

Here’s the archive copy of the latest welcome message from the front page.

Check out the updated gallery of The Kids.  There are lots of new pictures — some old and some new.  You’ll plainly see why these four feline friends are large and in charge around here.

I’m working on ideas for new tattoos and hope to post some of those ideas in the near future.  I’m jonesing to get started on some new ink projects!

Your roommate is a freak

This is a truly bizarre story I stumbled across today.  Apparently, after being kicked out for not paying rent, a roommate hid in the attic and began spying on the other occupant.  As the story indicates, the expelled roommate tapped into the phone and cable service, installed hidden baby monitors to track people in the house, and basically moved in upstairs.  I suggest you read the story — it's truly bizarre and somewhat frightening.
