With the recent enactment of a permanent version of the Patriot Act (with minor revisions), the Republicans have now ensured a true police state here in the “land of the free.”  By reducing our rights and curtailing our liberties, we have now passed from the great era of America into the slow decline of the behemoth.

Our country is heading toward a downfall.  We have now become what the terrorists have been saying of us all along, only now it’s true.  We do not believe in human rights, we do not believe in freedom and privacy, we do not believe in due process and the law.  We have instead become our worst nightmare — the evil superpower.
