‘The Prophet’: On Children
Posted on Nov 1, 2005 by jason
On children and important lessons everyone needs to understand…
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
…
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

Alright…you have me convinced to go to the book store now and buy it. Maybe it’s what I need to be reading right now anyways.
You always have great posts man.

I certainly appreciate the sentiment, Michael. You made me blush. I hope I can live up to that sentiment.
As for the book, I wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s not a long book at all, and, IMO, it’s also one of the most enlightening pieces anyone can read.
