The rich snobs in New York are harassing Pale Male and Lola again.  Those are the two red-tailed hawks who live on a building in the middle of NYC.  In fact, they’re incubating eggs now, and the idiots were dropping ropes on Lola and the nest, and that also blocked Pale Male from landing.  Both birds were extremely upset.  I hate these people.  [both links have stunning photos; see more at Pale Male]

God hates squid.

There are eight worlds where life might exist right here in our own solar system.  That includes Earth, of course.  This is one of many facts that increasingly is calling into question pessimism about extraterrestrial life.  If the possibilities are that abundant right here in our own cosmic neighborhood, what of the hundreds of planets we’ve discovered (and innumerable ones yet to be discovered) outside of our solar system?

This is horribly offensive and disturbing.  Who are the biggest supporters of Bush’s torture policy?  While it’s abhorrent to think that a majority of Americans support torture, it’s even more disturbing that Christians support it more than the general population.

Gay marriage is gaining support.  Gee, it’s nice to see the idea of equal rights hasn’t lost its attraction to Americans.
