Carnival barking

Weekend Cat Blogging #47 has some great photos to start with before linking to a lot of other photos and stories.  Good stuff, as usual.

Carnival of the Cats #110 has lots of feline photo fun to see.  The stills from the new horror movie are frightening!

Circus of the Spineless #8 is a monthly carnival about invertebrates.  There’s quite a bit of compelling information and news if you’re so inclined.  You really shouldn’t miss the one on spider eyes.  Fantastic photos abound, of course, but the article also details some of the various eye arrangements spiders have.

Birds in the News 56 (v2n7) has all the latest avian updates worth noting, and once again you’ll be dazzled by some striking photos.

Get your heathenish fix at Carnival of the Godless #39.  This is always a fantastic conglomeration of blog posts from the atheistic perspective, but the topics range from politics to religion to philosophy and a lot of other territory.  Also note that internet connectivity issues caused the original host to be late with this one, but you can see that version here.  It, too, is quite good, and I especially like the related book recommendations.

The 29th Philosophers’ Carnival is chock full of enlightening and interesting philosophical blog posts.  This is always one carnival that can bend your mind in all sorts of challenging ways.

Grand Rounds 2:32 has all the best of the medical blogs.

The Carnival Of Education: Week 65 has the best of the learnin’ bloggin’.

I was a bit disappointed in the presentation of Carnival of the Vanities #189.  Despite apparently lacking any preparatory effort, this is often the best blog carnival as it is the oldest and showcases the best posts regardless of topic, meaning you can normally find a tremendous amount of very good stuff.

Friday Ark #85 has the best news from all around the animal world.
