The issue with my previous employer robbing me blind via electronically pillaging one of my bank accounts continues with no resolution (see this and this). Their new approach is to request a conference call to discuss the problem and determine precisely what happened.
Um, didn’t I already explain that? This is an atrocious delay tactic in the hopes of getting me to go away. Since they’ve now cost me nearly $150 in associated fees, not to mention possibly causing interest rate increases on my American Express, Visa, and MasterCard accounts due to payment bounces, what do you think they’re doing about it? They’re dragging their feet.
Oh, let’s have a conference call.
Gosh, we’ve not determined what happened.
Huh. What’s the problem again?
Needless to say, I’m rapidly losing all patience with this situation. My attorney recommends giving them an opportunity to get out of this sans embarrassment, and I always listen to him as his advice always is sound, timely, and worth listening to. As he said, the situation goes nuclear once I get him directly involved, and that’s a button “you can’t un-push.” I agree.
Am I asking for too much? Here’s what I’ve asked for:
– Cover my financial losses in their entirety; assume responsibility should those losses multiply from ripple effects.
– Provide a statement of my final paycheck (legally due March 30, 2006).
– Provide written assurance that this fiasco will not impact my federal tax reporting.
See, it’s that simple. Again, am I asking too much? I don’t think so.
Yet here we are more than six weeks after I left, more than five weeks after Texas law required the check statement, more than a week after they illegally accessed my personal account to remove money, and we are no further along. This is costing me money right now. This significantly impacted my financial state more than a week ago. They were served with initial notice of the errors more than a week ago. And they still have no clue about what happened?
Pardon me: GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK ALREADY!
I suppose now you understand one of the reasons I left that place…
