Are you right or left brained?

For this week’s internet quiz, here’s a bit of insight into how your brain works.  Unfortunately, I don’t agree with the results as I found some of the questions and answers to be contradictory.  For instance, I’m equally good at algebra and geometry (excellent at both, in fact), so how do I choose the one I’m better at?  When it comes to thinking in words or pictures, I think more in numbers — but that option’s not there, and I have to admit I think my brain works evenly between words and pictures.  Another example is that I trust both logic and intuition when making decisions, so how do I say I use one or the other when it’s really both?  And what if you choose your words carefully and talk with your hands a lot?  When someone’s upset with me, I listen both to what they’re saying and how they’re saying it as that’s the only way to get a complete picture, yet I have to choose only one of those approaches?

But these are not scientifically valid tests any more than Dubya is a real patriot, so the point is to have some fun with it.  I did take it more than once to see if I should change any of the answers.  At the end, I stuck with my first responses.

You Are 45% Left Brained, 55% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you’re left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you’re right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.
