The Christian Coalition is really the devil in disguise because there’s nothing Christian about them. “The Florida pastor recently tapped to lead the Christian Coalition of America resigned his position in a dispute about conservative philosophy, he said this week. The Rev. Joel Hunter, of Northland Church, a nondenominational congregation in Longwood, Fla., said he quit as president-elect of the group founded by evangelist Pat Robertson because he realized he would be unable to broaden the organization’s agenda beyond opposing abortion and gay marriage. He hoped to include issues such as easing poverty and saving the environment. ‘These are issues that Jesus would want us to care about,’ Hunter said.” Again, I reiterate what I’ve said all along: Christianity has become a political movement that spits on the Bible, thinks Jesus was a waste of flesh because he didn’t hate enough, and spends all of its energy and time inciting bigotry and intolerance. Let’s all ask the question now: Who would Jesus hate?
Cell Phones? Hell Phones! This Wired article covers pretty much all the things I hate about cell phones, although it’s presumptive to assume all of it is true about everyone who carries one. Nevertheless, you’ll enjoy reading it.

If you do nothing else today, go read Complicated Decisions by Scott Adams. Yes, he’s the creator and author of the Dilbert cartoon strip, but he’s also an intelligent chap who thinks more broadly than what will get the next laugh. In this case, he discusses Iraq and what he thinks America should do. You’ll find it thought-provoking and insightful.
