Please keep this in mind when you buy my books: Authors are paid very little for each paperback edition sold.  On the other side of the coin is the fact that they are paid ~250% more when you buy a hardback edition of their work.  This is one reason I am going to publish first in hardback, and then I will edit and update the text for publication in paperback, but only six or more months later.  Again, keep this in mind when you purchase books by your favorite authors.  If you really want to see them succeed and keep writing, buy the hardback print.

Don’t just stand there, pass the remote: Have you ever seen such a feline scene?

And while we’re on the subject, take a look at this cat.  Any perch above your head will do.

Rabbits gone wild!  First, a video of a rabbit taking on a crow.  I’m assuming it was a mother defending young, but the best part is how the crow needs reinforcements at the end just to get the rabbit to go away.  But wait!  There’s more: here’s another video Mom sent to me the other day of a rabbit taking on a snake.  And the rabbit won!

This is so very cool.  “People in Cali, Colombia, are shocked to see the bond between a large African lion and a woman who saved it from abuse, involving long, affectionate kisses and hugs between the pair. Ana Julia Torres, who runs the Villa Lorena animal shelter in Cali, fed and nursed Jupiter the African lion back to health years ago after it was found abused and emaciated in a traveling circus. ‘It is amazing to see an animal like that be so sweet and affectionate,’ said Torres. ‘This hug is the most sincere one that I have received in my life.'”  There’s a video in the article.  You have to see it to understand the amazing affection this lion shows to his savior.  It’s awe-inspiring.  [via Gay Orbit]
