Pearls Before Breakfast: It’s a fascinating and revealingly disappointing article describing an experiment by WaPo.  They had Joshua Bell, one of the world’s greatest violinists, stand in a Washington D.C. commuter station and play his centuries old violin, calling from its frame some of the most spectacular music ever composed.  What was the point?  To see how people reacted, of course.  With the case open to invite donations, he stood and played magical score after magical score as people filed through together in lonely, separated chains of humanity.  Go read the article to see what happened.
