Ever heard of an undular bore? No, I didn’t think so. It’s a weather phenomenon that is always memorable: a gravity wave moving through the atmosphere. Take a look at this post from NASA explaining what they are. You’ll also find an intriguing video of these creations that recently moved over Iowa; in addition, there’s a radar image showing four of them lined up as they moved over the area.
