  1. I’ve never seen a more beautiful waterfowl species than the Wood Duck. How you managed to get such fantastic photos of these reclusive birds is a secret you must share with me sometime. I’m going to forward a link to this post to my friend – she will finally be able to see what I am talking about, up close, and in perfect detail!

    • You’ll get no argument from me, Amber: wood ducks are my favorite duck species…so beautiful, so magical, so breathtaking. That they’re small and have the sweetest little voices just adds to their allure.

(I have some other photos from this session because I was able to watch them for a few hours in very close proximity, so I’ll have to post those soon as there was a lot of personality on display–in addition to their handsome looks.)

    • Thanks, Eileen! I’ll admit it’s really easy to take gorgeous photos of these ducks because… Well, golly, they’re just so doggone stunning! (I’ll also admit I spend more time staring at them than I do photographing them. They’re my favorite duck species and I fall under their spell so easily.)
