That’s why they’re called The Twins

I’m speaking, of course, about Kako and Kazon.  They have been called The Twins since I adopted them the first week of December, 1998.  Here are a few reasons why they’re called that.

Here, Kako is trying to engage her brother Kazon in a bit of play, something he promptly obliged her.  By the way, that’s Grendel‘s post-surgery half-shaved ass you see in the lower-left corner of the photo.  Similarly, Loki‘s paws are seen dangling from atop a cardboard box near the upper-right corner.

And to finish, that’s Kazon lying on top of the box with Kako on the floor beside it.

We always said she had a JLo booty

Derek and I always laughed about Kako having a big butt: her JLo booty.  She works it when necessary and flaunts it like a trophy.  Uh-huh, she knows she’s got all that junk in her trunk, and more importantly, she knows she can get you love drunk off that hump…  Yea, she’s all that.

So, anyway, back to her JLo booty…

Kako’s a hottie momma.  That includes having a bit of an ass.  Despite her diva existence, she can’t always properly compensate for the caboose she’s dragging around behind her.

There are times, however, when she succeeds in getting her ass under cover, but I must sadly admit there are also times when her JLo booty takes so much room that she can’t fit her tail.

[she’s going to hurt me in terrible ways if she ever sees this post; btw, that’s Grendel trying to sleep in that last picture]

Playing fetch

Kako and Loki both enjoy playing fetch.  That is to say, they both love for me to throw a ball which they then chase, play with, retrieve, and ultimately return to me so that I might throw it again.  I don’t find this unusual for cats as Henry always did the same thing, and in his case it was most evident with balls made from aluminum foil.

The photos below are of Kako returning the ball to me after I already threw it.  She especially loves this game, so much so that it is not unusual for me to wake up in the morning with anywhere from a few to more than half-a-dozen balls resting in bed with me, evidence that she kept bringing them to me during the night, taking my lack of action as disinterest in the ball(s) she already brought to me, and forcing her to keep bringing those of different colors in the hopes of finding one with which I might want to play.  She’s funny that way.

And yes, she always carries the balls on one side or the other, almost always on her right but nonetheless also carried on her left from time to time.
