It’s Grand Rounds 3:13, the Christmas edition, with Charlie Brown and all his friends.

Do you remember tree decorating 101?  Now you can see them back in action for the 2006 season.  It’s always nice to see cats (and even a dog or two) getting into the holiday spirit.

Excellent news!  Whole Foods has decided to stop carrying all Icelandic products because of the country’s return to commercial whaling.

I’m not sure I’m thankful for the results.  Tobias Buckell is a published science fiction author who put together a survey of published novelists to find out how many books they wrote before finally getting one out on store shelves.  The majority wrote two or more, and only a third were able to break into the market with their first manuscript.  Take a look at his summary to see the specific results and additional information from the poll.  While statistically it presents a challenge for me, it does not deter me from pursuing publication for Dreamdarkers.  I read a lot and cover quite a bit of literary territory, but that doesn’t mean I’m not out of touch with what can be published.  Still, I think the book will sell and will do well—but that could be nothing more than wishful thinking.  Maybe I’m spinning my wheels…
