Another weather update from NOAA:
1053 AM CDT SAT APR 7 2007
.NOW…
CLOUDY…COLD AND BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS NORTH TEXAS THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. LIGHT SNOW…POSSIBLY MIXED WITH RAIN OR SLEET WILL CONTINUE TO FALL ACROSS NORTH TEXAS.
It is a rather gloomy and cool day, one defined by gray skies, a chilly bite in the air, and wintry precipitation.
We are presently under a Freeze Warning. That’s not unusual in winter months, of course, but in April? It’s certainly unusual but not unheard of.
Our forecast calls for a snow/rain/sleet mix through tomorrow, although the ground has been far too warm to support accumulations on all but elevated and grassy surfaces—assuming there’s any accumulation at all.
I guess Old Man Winter simply wasn’t done with Texas quite yet.
