This is absolutely heartbreaking.  “SANTIAGO [CHILE] — One recent summer’s day, Ruth Moreno and her family were out walking in northern Chile when they came across an animal’s snout sticking out of the ground, desperately sniffing for air. They dug away the surrounding earth and found a six-month old puppy, barely alive. […] Eventually, the puppy was freed and taken to a veterinary surgery where it died the following day.”  I’m at a loss for words.  And they still don’t know who buried the puppy alive or why they did it.

I try to avoid talking about politics here.  I spent plenty of time focused on it to the detriment of my own sanity and the things I’m interested in, like my cats, nature, writing, reading, life in general, and so on.  But sometimes things pop up that scream for attention.  You know, like this little number from Faux Fox News.  When the jury yesterday declared Libby guilty of lying to FBI investigators, what do you think Fox reported?  Go to that link and look at the screen capture.  That’s right!  They reported that he had been found not guilty despite every other news outlet reporting the actual truth: that he was found guilty.  And they wonder why their market share is dropping, why they can’t be trusted, and why everyone knows they’re nothing more than a mouthpiece for Repugnican spin.
